For 27 years, The Candy Store on Main Street has been a cornerstone of our community. It's more than just a store; it's a place where generations have come together to share a sweet tooth and create lasting memories.

Unfortunately, due to ACV Argo raising the rent 40%, Jen is being forced to close its doors forever. Jen is devastated.

“Our lease is up at the end of this month and the landlord told us last week they will not renew our lease. In order to get LOI they insisted on my paying out of pocket for renovations, i.e. new flooring, electrical and bringing up to code. The new rate was going to be a 40% increase. Now I am waiting for them to schedule a walk through to end the lease and make sure I get my deposit back. They have dragged out a lot of repairs that the building needed for years: new roof, new door and frame, electrical breakers failing etc. I am worried that they will insist I demo the place before we leave... they are not very responsive.”
